A Good Football Night
- Best thing about tonight’s game: Chargers lost.
- Second best thing: Chargers kept shooting themselves in the foot by penalties incurred after the play was over. Being a jerk sometimes doesn’t pay, it turns out.
- Third best thing: Mark Sanchez, who was possibly the most badmouthed player in last summer’s draft, is now standing tall among three potential hall-of-famers while Tony Romo and Tom Brady and Phil Rivers (as well as 25 other starting NFL quarterbacks) watch on.
Mind you, I hope Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis each drop the kid half a dozen times next weekend, but while he’s making the Chargers look bad, I’m a big Sanchez fan.
