Off to Hot-lanta

I’ll admit that this is my kind of vacation, the kind that only takes an hour and a half to return from.? We depart tomorrow morning, stopping along the way to take care of some paperwork in Dacula, and we’re spending the day at the Fern Bank natural history museum in Atlanta.? Then we’ll proceed to our hotel and some swimming, then days at the Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta Zoo, and Atlanta Children’s Museum and nights at a Braves game, Stone Mountain’s laser show, and more swimming.? Somewhere in there we’ll likely do tours of CNN and the World of Coca-Cola as well, and when Friday night and the lasers come to a close, we’ll just get on route 78, ride it a little ways, turn onto route 10, then hit 316, the road that Mary takes every day to work.

The coolest part is that, once we’re at the hotel, all of the daytime stops will be within two blocks of where we’re sleeping.? We’ll only have to drive to the ballgame and to the laser show.

I know I’m a bit of a Hobbit with my preference for staying close to home, but what can one do?
