An e-ink reader with 3.3GB usable onboard storage, Whispernet access, and a screen big enough to take on .pdf files and native .pdf support…
Mmm… bacon…
Let the scoffers scoff; when this unit comes down in price, I might just have to snag one.

The rumor is they’ll soon be able to allow you to highlight and save certain passages. I don’t know if I’ll ever switch over, though–I like having books pile up in my library.
I won’t be seriously tempted until the cost comes down, either; the cost of both the reader and (especially) the ones and zeroes that copyright holders sell for it.
Oh, I’d mainly be using it for public domain works and (perhaps more importantly) all of the pages of .pdf that I print on a yearly basis. If I could just store ‘em and read ‘em when I wanted to, that would make a device about half that price worth it.
